Houston Zoo Day

Like I said before, we live quite a ways from the museum district which neighbors the zoo so this was yet another big trip for us.  Thank goodness my dad was there for both trips to help me out with my 2 girls.  Thanks Daddy!  We spent a beautiful Friday at the zoo and it was once again, Lilly's first time to go.  Abby's not real big on walking so her only concern was that I brought the double stroller.  She's been scarred for life for having to walk when we spent an entire day at the Sydney Zoo last February.  *Sigh*  The girls had A BLAST.  They saw animals, Abby and Elliott fed the giraffes, the girls rode a carousel for the first time and we ended the fun day getting wet and playing in the water park!  My girls were pooped by the end of the day and we can't wait to go back again!  I didn't take a single picture that day so these are from Ruby's camera.  Enjoy!

Meerkats!

Cousin bonding time continues!

My dad in charge of the little ones.  :)

The Baldwin kids found a good seat.  :)

Everyone loves to watch the chimps.

The last time we were here the chimps flung poop onto the window.  This visit was less eventful.

Matt took Abby and Elliott to feed the giraffes.  They loved it!

Little does the giraffe know, that's one of Abby's favorite snacks too!

Lunch time chaos.

Elliott changed his mind about riding the carousal so Ruby took Tillie.  By the end, they both weren't really into it.  :P

The apples don't fall too far from the tree.  My girls and I LOVED the carousal ride!

Look at the sweaty mess!

What better way to cool off than to splash around the water park!!  Let me just say Willow has a very healthy sense of adventure and is brave as the biggest lion I know.  This little niece of mine is fearless, especially when it comes to water!

Tillie and her look-alike Daddy.

Elliott decided to sit this one out but here's proof he was there!

Poor Lilly has my arms and legs....look!  They look the same!

Both my girls having so much fun and only leaving because they were so darn tired.  Both were asleep in the car before I even got onto 288.  It was a quiet, long drive home for me but I really enjoyed the silence.  :)
