We are ready for Santa!

I've got 22 minutes to post this before Christmas gets here so here goes!  We baked chocolate chip cookies for Santa, sprinkled reindeer food out on the front yard for the reindeer, watched Brave and ate popcorn, then left cookies and milk for Santa by the chimney and finally read Twas the Night Before Christmas before Abby went to bed.  Technically she's still awake but I'm sure she'll fall asleep soon.  She kept saying she was going to stay up for Santa but as we predicted, it didn't happen.  Maybe next year!

Tasting the cookies to make sure they are good enough for Santa.

At first Abby was being methodical and gentle sprinkling the reindeer food...

...then she got really into it!  BAM!

We caught Mei Mei trying to open a present!

Good night sweet baby!  We hope you have a very fun and memorable Christmas morning!  ♥

Welcome Willow Lauren Chen!

Congratulations to Kirk and Lucy!  They had a beautiful baby girl named Willow Lauren Chen on December 21, 2012 at 11:17 PM.  She weighed 7 lbs 2 oz and everyone is doing well!  I love having a new niece to spoil!  That's the third and final dragon granddaughter for our family this year.  My parents now have 5 grandchildren in under 3.75 years.  ♥♥♥♥♥

Look at Lilly go!

Lilly acts and thinks like she can walk anywhere she wants to but she's not quite there yet.  Grandma got her a walker for Christmas and she's cruisin' along!  Lilly really likes to be standing at all times and is starting to try to stand unassisted.  Of course, that only lasts for 1 second and then she's back on all fours.  Here's a quick video of her progress!

Random Family Pictures

Big changes in the Baker house....we put the baby gate back up!  We were trying to avoid it but our little Lilly is just too curious, too fast and too mischievous for her own safety.  Otherwise, we are just patiently waiting for Christmas to come.  Tomorrow is Abby's last day of school and she's having a school party and then we're officially on vacation for 3 weeks!

Lilly's 1st pink bow!  She looks just like her Daddy in this picture.  ♥

This is the new hang out spot in the house now.

My little goofy baby...cooking just like her Daddy.  :)

They stick together like birds of a feather.  ♥

Abby actually put her crown on Lilly.....it's a miracle!

Lilly's favorite toy...the diaper changing bag.  Just look at the shear joy.  :)

I ♥ this face!

As of a few days ago, our dining table is officially fully occupied.  Back when I was still pregnant with Lilly, Bryce and I were talking about how one day all the seats would be full and its finally come true.  Our family is complete.  ♥  "It's just us girls!" {wink}

Annual Christmas Craft with Grandma

This is the third year that we have gone to Grandma's to make something for Christmas with Abby.  The first year we made and decorated cookies, last year we made a ginger bread house and this year we made a Fruity Pebble Holiday Tree.  It's essentially rice krispie treats made out of Fruity Pebbles, cut out and stacked up like a tree.  It sounded really simple and fun so we gave it a shot!  As usual, the end product looked nothing like the picture but Abby had fun making it and that's all that counts!  Unfortunately, I forgot my camera so these are all horrible cell phone pictures.  Enjoy nonetheless!

I would have been happy just stopping here and eating all the Fruity Pebbles and marshmallow up but we went on.

Too many cooks in the kitchen!

You're suppose to cut the treats into stars but we didn't have concentric star cookie cutters so we improvised with just squares.  I caught Abby dipping her fingers into the frosting!

After they were stacked, it was time to decorate!

This took quite a while but Abby did a great job!

It turned into a leaning tower of a Holiday Tree but it's OK.  It was a fun family project!

This is what it's suppose to look like.  Pretty close!

Abby's School Christmas Program

Abby did SO WELL!!!!  We are so proud of her!  Her teacher said she's one of the best singers in her class which she found interesting since Abby's usually so quiet.  :)  My little girl looooves to sing (just like her Mommy)!  She did all the hand motions too and couldn't have looked cuter or more grown up.  {sniff sniff}

Another mom took this picture with a super nice camera.  Look at the intense seriousness.  ♥

The Bakers!

Proud grandparents!

Proud grandparents!

Look at all the support and love our little Abby got tonight.  What a lucky girl!  We love you, Abby!  ♥

Just Pictures

I'm so behind for no reason in particular besides it being the holidays.  I feel so deflated because I did not have time to hand make cards this year so I ended up buying photo cards.  A few weeks ago I finally came to the realization that there just wasn't enough time.  But I'm happy with how the cards came out and I mailed them out today so now I can blog.  Abby's Christmas program at school is tomorrow night so that's what we're all excited about for now!

My goofy Abby.  I love this face!  ♥

Playing together.  It never gets old!

Something else that never gets old.  ♥

We almost have a walker!!

Babies pushing babies

We were so diligent with only giving Abby age appropriate toys but that's all gone out the window for Lilly.  As long as it's not sharp and it's not small enough for her to swallow, then it's OK.  :P

If Lilly could talk, she'd be saying "I want to play too!"
Abby actually saying out loud "No, Mei Mei.  You can't play."

Abby was so glad Lao Yie came back from Australia!

I just love my baby's cry faces.  It's twisted but I smile so big when they start crying because I think they look so. darn. cute.

This one getting into everything.
Who me?

This is a terrible blurry Blackberry picture but I love it!  This is my quintessential thumb sucking Lilly pie.  ♥

Lilly's 1st Word!

Bryce and I both thought we heard Lilly say "up" for a few days now but yesterday, it was official!  At just over 8 months, she said "up" several times when she was standing up!  Woohoo!  I've been saying it to her for almost a month now every time I pick her up from her clip-on chair and she finally said it back.  Yay Lilly baby!  Abby's first word was "cat" at 7 months.   We have a pair of early talkers in our house.  Bryce, you're going to have to speak up if you want to be heard over us girls and it's a good thing you're already a great listener.  ;P  This little girl pretty much prefers to be standing at all times and continues to bring us so much joy!  Can't post without a picture!

Dirty but happy baby going in for a bath.  ♥
