Abby's Christmas Program, Annual Christmas Craft Tradition

Last Thursday night Abby had her Christmas Program at school.  The theme was Silent Night so all the kiddos got to wear Christmas pajamas for the program - woohoo - so easy - done!  Abby did SUCH a wonderful job singing and signing all the songs she learned.  She really enjoyed performing and we were so proud of her.  Right before her class' song started, we were all crazily waving at her and she motioned for us to "SIT DOWN! I'M ABOUT TO SING!"  Mark your calendars - it only took 4.5 years for us to finally embarrass her in front of her classmates.  Hahahaha!  I enjoyed every second of it!

Then this past weekend, we went to Grandma & Grandpa's to make, yet another, Christmas baking/craft activity.  Our problem seems to be that we try to do new things every year so nothing ever turns out right.  And in the end, the grown-ups end up doing the majority of the work.  This year we thought we went simple by just making rice krispie treats.  But we cut them out into shapes with cookie cutters and I had a grand idea of putting melted chocolate on it so we could decorate the "cookies."  Well, they might not have looked pretty but at least Abby had fun decorating them.  And you can never have enough rice krispie treats.  One of these years we're just going to bake cookies and be done with it.

Of course, Abby had to accessorize her pajamas with a necklace.  :)

"Christmas cookies and holiday hearts!"

"Goody goody yum yum!"

We kept Lilly quiet (and I use that term loosely) with an assortment of snacks.

Rice krispie "cookies."

Abby really enjoyed decorating the treats with Grandpa!

Sugar, on top of sugar, on top of sugar, etc....

This is a random picture but Lilly never, and I mean NEVER sleeps in the car so this was one of those rare moments.  So of course I had to take a picture for proof.

I can't sit on the couch without my two cuddle bugs fighting over my lap.  A small part of me wishes I could just, for once, sit in peace but I actually live for these moments.  I'm such a sucker and I cherish these moments.  Who knows how long it will last.  I hope forever.  ♥  I'm already getting complaints that my lap is too small or my legs are too short to accommodate them both.

Walk Through Bethlehem

Every year Abby's school does a Walk Through Bethlehem weekend where you get to experience what it's like to walk through Bethlehem at the time of Jesus' birth.  There are so many fun activities for the kids to learn and also animals to ride and pet as well.  We were happy Grandma & Grandpa could join us and thankfully Lilly was on her best behavior too!  Overall the kids had such a fun time and it was a fun way to be out in this cold!

Abby's 1st horse ride!

Petting animals in barnyard.

Grandma, Abby and a sheep!

A chicken, Mei Mei and Grandpa!

Relaxing in The Inn.
Oh what fun it is to walk in Bethlehem!

And we'll end with a random sister picture.  This is what I get when I ask them to smile!
p.s. They are both wearing their "I ♥ MY SISTER" shirt.  :)
