Abby update number 100 something....

My dad turned 65 on Dec. 29 and this is a picture of Abby and her Lao Nian and Lao Yie when we went out to dinner!  I brought solid food for Abby to eat but apparently accidentally left the formula at home (oops!) so dinner was quick and we had to get home to feed the hungry baby.  We thought she would fuss but everything turned out okay.

Abby has always been interested in standing and walking (we even did this when she was only a few months old) so Daddy took her for a stroll around the living room.  Abby's balance is getting better by the day.  My mom thinks she will start walking in the next month.

This was too funny.  Abby was in a particulary onry mood and decided to take her arm out of the sleeve.  She sure showed us!  :P

She's really good about holding her own bottle up now.  It's amazing how such a simple act can be so freeing for a mother.  I was able to warm my own lunch up (and take this picture) while she fed herself - wow!

I just like these pictures.  She was actually waving her arms about hysterically with glee.  :)  She's also starting to figure out how to clap her hands together but it's not quite there yet.

Abby found a way to combine 2 of Mommy's favorites: reading and eating.

Abby:  Hey, give that back to me.  Daddy wasn't looking so I was playing with it.
What?  No, that smudge mark wasn't from me...I promise!

Abby teaching Daddy how to read.  Just kidding, obviously Bryce was reading to her.  Just a little joke since Bryce doesn't like to read books.  :)

Abby recently discovered the concept of sharing.  She will offer you a toy but then she wants you to give it right back to her.  We're taking the opportunity to teach her "thank you" (xie xie) and "you're welcome" (bu xie).
