Day 4 with our little angel

We survived our first weekend! :) We were discharged from the hospital on Saturday late afternoon. The drive home was so surreal. The car seat has been ready for weeks and it was great to finally use it (thanks Carrie)! I videoed her grand entrance into our home for the first time. We finally felt like a family when we all got home. It was GREAT to get out of the hospital, cut all those medical bracelets off, take a looong shower, show Abby her new room and just plain get situated with all the baby prep work we have done so far.

Things we've learned about Abby so far:

1. Her faux hawk is the best. It's all naturale and we have no idea who she got that from. We are most fascinated with her hair color. It's definitely light brown but she also has these ever so subtle blonde tips as well. And she's got a whole heck of a lot of hair too!

2. She's got long fingers and toes - they are the best!

3. She's got my ears, upper lip part, my mom's lips, so far, my Asian upper eye lids and her head is shaped like mine when I was born. (Btw, her little cone head is getting better by the day). :)

4. She's got Bryce's nose, cheeks, chin, shoulders, legs and actual eyes. Bryce and I both have dimples so she got that from both of us.

Bryce is an awesome Daddy - just a great as I knew he would be. He just loves his little girl! He likes it when she falls asleep on his chest. My favorite thing to do is burp her - she looks adorable and so peaceful. My swelling is FINALLY going down. It's nice to be able to reach my toes again. I actually miss being pregnant - I really do. It's neat because I'm used to feeling Abby kick around in my belly and now when I hold her, I feel the same little kicks but from the outside. The whole experience is just so surreal.
