Whew, the top left lateral incisor came in yesterday - we're symmetrical again! :) We went out for an early Father's Day dinner with my family last night (in case Ruby goes into labor next week) and I meant to take a picture but forgot. So for once, this post will be pictureless.
I'm so glad Abby loves eating Chinese food. :) She makes me (and my Dad) proud. She ate tofu, fish, lian mien (don't know the English name for it), duck and she loves eating bing bing (the 'tortilla' part of a 'Chinese pork quesadilla' - again, don't know the English name for the dish).

Hair cut #2, Ping Pong
Today we visited Lao Nian at work and Abby got to play ping pong for the first time! Being the super observant baby that she is, she watched others play intently before giving it a try on her own.
Look closely, her bangs are short because I cut them last night! :) They ended up being shorter than I intended but I've now convinced myself that it still looks good. :P Nancy makes it look sooo easy. I even re-watched the video we took of her first hair cut so I somewhat knew what I was doing. This way you can see Abby's eyes again. Little girl won't keep barrettes in her hair anymore so I'm forced to learn how to cut hair. :)
The picture is blurry but here she is watching intently. Before I knew it, Abby knew to hit the ball with the paddle. Only she would gently press them together because she's such a lady. :P
Vivienne a-yi teaching Abby how to hit the ball with the paddle.
Look at the concentration!

This picture is more or less just for Kirk and Ruby to see. I didn't believe it until I saw it, Mom actually broke a sweat while playing ping pong. I can't say much because I'm not athletic either but this is quite a rare sighting so I had to capture it on 'film.'
Go Mommy!
Sleepy, growing baby, Tooth #7
As I mentioned before, we think Abby is going through another growth spurt. Sometimes she has trouble waking up after her long afternoon nap. I like to call this picture 'Part II of 6/10/10 nap'. She looks so comfy - we just couldn't wake her up. :P
Her 7th tooth made an appearance yesterday (top right lateral incisor). Those that know me know I have a thing about symmetry so hopefully the left lateral incisor comes soon! :)

My little Popeye
Guess who just ate Mommy's delicious sauted spinach and LOVED it?? That's right! My little Popeye! :) We'll just add that to the list of things we will be eating WITHOUT Daddy (who doesn't like most sauted Chinese veggie dishes).
Can't post without more Abby pictures. We think she is teething again (Round 3) and these little Biter Biscuits are great!
I just like this picture. It's a typical goofy Abby face. :)
This picture was taken last night. This is what milk-coma looks like. Good night!

Fun at Grandma & Grandpa's House
We spent Saturday afternoon at Grandma & Grandpa's and we all had so much fun! Abby just LOVES being in the water (complete opposite of me when I was little). She thinks she can play it in by herself - she keeps squirming and splashing around! She even instinctively froggy kicks her feet - too cute.
Gma & Gpa got Abby a little ducky to float around in. Abby really loved it!
My little froggy in action.
Love that smile! :)
Our attempt at a family photo. This is Abby's latest face dujour - hope this phase ends soon - it's not a happy look!
We finished off the evening with dinner and flavor ice. What kid doesn't love frozen sugar water?

Another random update
A quick shout out to Ni Hao, Kai Lan for allowing my little wiggle worm to sit still long enough for me to cut 10 little finger nails and 10 little toe nails. Whew!
We think Abby's going through another growth spurt lately. She's eating and sleeping a lot again. This is what a sleepy, growing baby looks like who won't wake up from her usual afternoon nap. I even changed her diaper and she never woke up.

I've been trying to be better about reading to Abby. She likes to chew on her books so we put them away temporarily. She can actually sit long enough to get through at least half a book now.
Here she is waving at Da-Da mowing in the back yard again. :) Now when I open the blinds in the morning, I think she expects to see Bryce outside because she keeps saying Da-Da - haha!

Memorial Day Weekend Update
Whew! What a long, fun filled weekend! Bryce was gone on a weekend long bachelor party filled with road trips, beer and BBQ. So Abby and I packed up and spent the weekend with Lao Nian, Lao Yie and Jo Jo and had sooo much fun! Here are some pictures from the weekend. :)
Abby's "Kansas" outfit with matching bracelet! $5.49 at Costco!
Time to go shopping with Mommy! :)
Her new thing - run over to the open fridge door and rummage around. :) She's quick!
Her other new thing - playing with her hair while drinking her milk. She does this when she's falling asleep too.
Reminds me of Pam a-yi! :)
Abby likes to play with Lao Nian's laptop!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
We were invited to the Baldwin's on Saturday and Abby fell asleep on the ride there. She looks so relaxed and cozy.
Abby got to play with Uncle Matt's farm toy from his childhood! She was just giving it a test run before her cousin gets to play with it too. :) Toys from our childhood are now considered VINTAGE!
On Sunday Abby had Dim Sum for the first time and LOVED it! The only thing she didn't try was the delicious chicken feet. :) My little girl loves soy sauce - yipee!
A few months ago Abby started to say "up" when we picked her up from her high chair and now she says it ALL THE TIME! You'd be surprised how versatile that word is. She wanted to sit on the window sill and kept saying "up!"
We had fun in the pop-up pool with Ruby a-yi! It felt so nice to be in the pool with the hot Houston weather.
Abby wanted out of the pool so Ruby and I hung out with our cold beverages. Nothing better than sippin' on a cold beer while in the kiddie pool. :)
Be sure to stay tuned! Ruby is due in 5 weeks! :) I can't wait!
