The ABC's, Spelling and Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo

Abby's known her ABC's for quite sometime now and has been spelling for several months and we finally got it on video!  A few weeks ago, Abby finally learned the 4 letters she was having trouble with so we are 26 for 26 now.  :)  She loves to spell words out loud where ever we go and I love her enthusiasm.  A few weeks ago I began teaching her colors and she knows red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown and black (thank you Crayola crayons!).  Now that that is mastered, this past week we've been working on shapes and so far she can say heart, star and circle but we are working on triangle, square and rectangle.  I'm sure we'll get there soon!

First, a few random pictures from the week before moving onto the Rodeo...

I thought Abby looked like a hiker making a quick stop to check the trail map.  :)

Abby thought it was too bright outside so she asked me to get her sunglasses.  She totally looks like my mom in these!  :)

Brushing her teeth while sitting on her potty.  We do this every night and I just thought I'd capture it on photo.

This was Abby and Elliott's first time at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and it was sooo much fun!  I'm so glad the cousins got to spend it together.  :)  Abby knows all of her farm animals (and then some) and the noises they make so it was extra fun for her to see them for real

Riding the tram from the parking lot to the Rodeo was tons of fun in itself!

Petting a cow!

Checking out the guinea pigs.

Sheep!

The obligatory Texas Longhorn photo!

These are 3 day old twin lambs!!

Last night we told Abby she would see cows, pigs, chicken and horses tomorrow and she said "Cow!  Pig!  Horsie!  EAT!"  Haha - at least she's putting 2 and 2 together.  :)

The petting zoo was a highlight for Abby.  As with most animals, Abby was both scared and excited!  She got braver and braver in the end.

It's not as scary when Daddy helps out!

Petting a goat.

This little piglet was my favorite.  :)

Ford sponsored almost everything so of course we had to check out the cars on display.  Abby loved playing around and pretend driving in the cars.  Perhaps another generation of car lovers??  :)

"Drive!"

Can't leave without sitting in the Mustang.  She's even gear shifting (a-da-girl!)!

Family photo!

You can't go to the Rodeo without eating funnel cake and oh boy did Abby love it!

Leave it up to a-yi to give Abby a HUGE bite!  I love it!

It looked like Abby was trying to talk to Elliott!  Elliott just woke from a nap and Abby was starting to wind down from the funnel cake.

Tired baby...

Aaaand....we're OUT.

Abby will have no recollection of the tram ride back.  What a wonderful way to spend a Friday afternoon!
