Snow's BBQ and celebrity sighting!

Last night at 9 PM we got a wild hair to get up early and drive the 112 miles to Lexington, TX for some Snow's BBQ and it was sooo worth it.  We woke up at 6 AM and were out the door at 7 AM.

Over this past Memorial Day weekend, Bryce partook in this wonderful bachelor party road trip where the guys rented a huge van and drove around Texas from one awesome bbq joint to another and it was unanimous that Snow's was ranked #1.  After hearing so much about it, I had to try it for myself - and it did not disappoint.  Since this was so last minute, only Andrew could come along (the then bachelor who is now married - hooray!) so Abby had something/someone to stare at for the first hour - haha!  Who needs a tote bag filled with an aresenol of 'just in case' toys when there's a real live person to stare at?

Snow's is only open on Saturdays.  The doors open at 8:30 AM and they serve until the food runs out so in our haste to get there early, I left my purse and therefore camera at home so this picture is from the bachelor party but you'd never know because it's always this good!

Who's the celebrity, might you ask?  It was none other than Major Applewhite!  It was awesome because Bryce, Andrew and I have a picture with Major at Shakespeare's circa Dec 2001 (see below).  Major was there with his family today so we didn't approach him this time.  But Bryce was glad her wore his burnt orange t-shirt with the white longhorn (aka his uniform)!  :)  What a great way to end our BBQ eating experience!
