Since it's been so hot and rainy lately, we decided to take Abby to the Children's Museum of Houston this afternoon. She's too small for a lot of the activities but it was good to let her stretch her legs a bit. There was one section for kids under 35 months old and that's where we spent most of our time. It was nice because the parents had to wear disposable booties over their shoes and the kids were either barefoot or had socks on (Abby was the latter, of course). I wish EVERYONE did this EVERYWHERE!
Abby is the ultimate observer. And she is SOOOO cautious. I mean it in every sense of the word. Bryce and I decided that we just spent $8 so she could people watch. Should have just taken her to the airport (where I love to people watch). She would literally stand there and watch another kid play with something.....for about 5 minutes. No joke. Every once in a while she would reach out and play with something but it sure took a while. We watched as other parents were frantically running around chasing their kids but Bryce and I pretty much just stood/sat in the same place for a while until she was ready to move on. We will most likely go again because I like the cleanliness and it's great for her age. In the end, we could tell Abby had fun so that's all that matters! :)
