Playing Catch Up

Where has November gone?  I'm so behind!  No time to chat - let's get straight to the pictures!  Maybe it'll jog my memory of what's been keeping us to preoccupied.  :)  Oh, the only big thing is that our Christmas tree and inside decorations are all up!  It's been raining a lot so the outside lights will go up as soon as the weather permits.  We are having an awesome family holiday week and can't wait to have a big Thanksgiving feast on Thursday.  I just love this time of year!

Guess who started watching Sesame Street lately?  She LOVES it and that makes me happy.  :)

My muscle baby.  She's so robust.  My lean, mean, thumb sucking machine and I love it.

Abby was so sweet while sharing her lollipop with Lilly.  They literally shared it lick for lick.  Abby made me so proud and Lilly was so sweet.

Watching Sesame Street at Lao Nian Lao Yie's house.  Intense concentration!

Mei Mei has been on a HUGE eating growth spurt lately and is constantly asking for a snack.  She likes to take my hand and lead me to either the fridge or the pantry.  How can I say no to this face?  Her puppy dog eyes are to die for.  But then again, I'm such a sucker regardless.

Daddy and his first girl!  ♥

As I mentioned before, the tree is up and this is how I found Abby today.
It looks like the tree was eating her!  :)

These two love clowning around in our bed.  Lilly is constantly being accosted by Abby with kisses and cuddles.

Playing with my stuffed reindeer dolls.

Both pretending to be sleeping.  They will eventually share a bed so this is a nice glimpse into our future.
We love our two little girls!!

♥ Sister Love ♥

As I mentioned before, Lilly's attention span is getting longer so that just means she and Abby play better and better together.  That's not to say they don't argue and fight still but at least the getting-along stage is lasting longer.  I love love love it!!!  Here's some proof!

Two babies in a basket!

Playing with princesses together...  :)

SMILE!!!

I'm not sure how they ended up lying on the floor but they were having fun!

Happy Halloween!

Abby had her Halloween Parade at school today and thankfully it was held indoors in the gym.  I had Lilly in my arms the entire time so my pictures were not great but you get the idea.  This year Abby is a Cowgirl and Lilly is a strawberry!  I really hope the rain lets up so we can enjoy trick-or-treating tonight.  Lilly won't mind if we don't go but I know a little Cowgirl that might be bummed out.  I've also included some random pictures from the past week as well.  Enjoy!

Yee-haw!

Bad-bebby!
(That's how Lilly says strawberry)

Abby walking in the parade.  :)

It's the Eagle Class!

Lately Lilly's been letting Abby hug/cuddle/kiss her more.  Her attention span seems to be getting longer.  She can sit through more pages in a book now and actually pays attention to cartoons on TV now too.

Goofing around playing outside.  She LOVES being outside.

Abby had her half birthday a week ago and Grandma & Grandpa got her a cool jewelry making kit!

Of course, Mei Mei wanted in on the action as well.

More evidence of Mei Mei's affection!  ♥

My little chub chub loves having books read to her.  Just look at that concentration!

Someone wanted the camera...."I need!  I need!"

For some reason she actually cuddles with my mom.  I can never get her to sit still!  :)

I really need to stop doing this....

...but I can't help myself!  I love going back and seeing how much they've grown.  Told you Lilly was huge...

What a week, Lilly's 18 month stats

Holy hell.  That's what we get for going on a grown-up vacation!  Bryce and I went to the Great American Beer Festival again in Denver this past weekend and my in-law's watched Abby while my parents watched sweet Lilly.  It seems my in-laws got the short end of the stick because 1 day into our vacation, I got the dreaded e-mail from school saying a kid in another 4 year old class had lice and to check our own kid at home.  We kept checking every day and seemed to be in the clear.  Then I get the dreaded phone call from school on Tuesday saying I need to pick Abby up because they found lice in her hair.  At the time, it was sort of a big "OH NO!" moment but now that we've made it through the necessary process and are all lice-free, it doesn't seem like that big of a deal.  Just a lot of work.  My parent's got to enjoy a lice free grand child who wore them out.  Lilly ate well, slept well and played well while we were gone.  Her 3 favorite things to do.

Before I forget, we took Lilly in for her 18 month check up and the doctor confirmed our suspicion.  Lilly is a BIG GIRL.  She's 34" tall (94%), 28 lb. 4 oz. (94%) and her head is 48 cm (87%).  I have a baby girl in the mid-90% range!  Let's hope she can squeeze her bum into all of Abby's old winter clothes because there's LOTS of cute stuff that needs to be re-worn!  Oh, and I lost track but all her teeth are in now too.  Onward to pictures - it's getting late!

This was taken a while back on our way to drop Abby off at school.  It's rare that Lilly let's Abby hold her hand (especially since that's her favorite thumb to suck) so this was a big deal.  My two sweet girls!

We did a practice drop-off with Grandpa before leaving for Denver.  Lilly LOVES going to school with big sister.  When she finally starts school next year, I'll bet $100 she'll be the kid that darts into the class room without even looking back at me whilst I shed a tear in the doorway.  That's why I'm keeping her home this year - I'm not ready to part with my baby yet!

I think Mei Mei found a comfy place to have a book read to her.  :)

While in Colorado, we visited Odell Brewing Co., New Belgium Brewing, Equinox Brewing, Avery Brewing Company and my gateway beer, MillerCoors where I got to drink Banquet straight from the Rocky Mountain source.  It was everything I thought it would be.  :)

Bryce and I both got lice as well so this was what Abby and I looked like for 10 hours on Wednesday.  Lilly kept looking at us like we were weirdos!  Haha!  It stunk to high heaven but that medicine worked!  We are all lice-free now.  Luckily, Lilly never got any.
p.s. Abby's got a high bun in her hair - she's not really a cone-head.

Doesn't Mei Mei look like Pebbles with her tiny, tiny pony tail?

Looks like Lilly found the popsicles!

We attended the Disney & Dinner event at Abby's school Friday night and she got to take pictures with some princesses!  Lilly ran amuck the entire time so Bryce and I were a sweaty mess taking turns chasing after her but it was worth it for Abby!

It was so nice out today.  Abby helped me pick out the pumpkins this year and then she helped Bryce carve them out.  Well, really she watched him and only scooped out the guts a few times because she didn't want to get dirty.  Oops, she gets that from me.  :o

We always do one scary and one funny pumpkin.  Pretty awesome!  Good job, Bryce!

It's a miracle this picture turned out as well as it did.  Lilly was a millisecond from bursting into a yell/cry.
♥  I love my girls!!  ♥

But I got a great pic with my cuddle bug.  I can always count on her for a snuggle or kiss.  :)

Abby wanted to go out for a family walk today.  But only Bryce and I walked.  :P

After an entire day playing outside, we had to squeeze in some inside playing as well.
Like father, like daughter.

And lastly, another rare moment of sisterly affection from Lilly.

It's about time....

It's been a long time since I cracked open the ol' sewing machine.  I've been wanting to make curtains for the girl's room for quite some time now.  I found the fabric about 2 months ago and with the aid of my MIL, I was able to crank out a "pinterest project" in a couple of hours.  I also found a couple of other beginner sewing projects and made the girls each skirts and I made a cute little Christmas pillow cover for the couch.

I picked out this fabric because this is one of Abby's favorite Christmas movies.  It's a super simple envelope pillow case.  I'll definitely be making more of these for sure!

Lilly and her kicks.

Abby the Accessorizing Queen.  :)

And lastly, my curtains with grommets.  I was lucky to find the cute rod with pink jeweled finials too.  Right up Abby's aisle.  :)

Abby's wore her daddy's shirt for a night gown one night. These two are Double Trouble!

Mei Mei after just waking up from a nap.  :)  Love her curly hair!

Abby was SO happy Lao Yie came back from Australia!

A rare moment: Lilly is actually sitting still for more than 3 seconds.
Sucking her thumb, of course.

This is what I get when I ask them to smile.  ♥
The weather was so nice on Sunday that we spent the afternoon playing outside.  Everything started out great...

...until they started fighting over the lone ball.  Both need to practice sharing.

Both ended up in tears and had death grips on the ball.

Usually a ride on Daddy's shoulder fixes everything but not that day.

Abby's face got cut off a bit but it was Lilly's turn and this is one unhappy Abby and one happy Lilly.

Lilly's eyes are saying "Mine!  All mine!"  Bad baby.

What is the best way to quiet two fussy girls?
SNACK TIME!!!

Then we played and played and played until Abby skinned her knee.  She's not the most coordinated little girl but she for sure is a little drama queen when it comes to boo-boos.  Bryce had to carry her since her entire body was incapacitated.  :)
