I'm sort of going out of order but in the last few months, Abby's imagination has blossomed and she just talks all day long! I love listening to her sweet, sweet voice and trying to make sense of all the toddler jibber jabber she speaks. She's quite the little helper too and always wants to do things by herself as well. We spend a large part of the day (and night) singing all the songs she knows: I'm a little tea pot, itsy bitsy spider, belle notte, once upon a dream, part of your world, heigh-ho, baby mine, when you wish upon a star, happy birthday, etc. The list goes on and on. Her memory is outstanding. She must get it from my dad who only passed it on to Kirk and NOT me and Ruby. :P She still remembers things from our trip to Taiwan back in April!
Anyhow, I've been trying to think of fun activities we can do at home with her and the rest of the time, we are playing along with whatever she has imagined. Here are a few pictures from the last few weeks (yes, I'm a little behind).
She is copying me wiping dust around the house with a Swiffer sheet. Reminds of the picture of me around the same age copying my mom wipe the floor. I was still in diapers too and that's pretty much the last time I did that! :P
Abby watching Daddy make homemade pretzels for an Oktoberfest party 2 weekends ago. :)
The flash went off in this picture but Abby was playing in the dark with Daddy's head light looking for animals! She crawled all around the house looking for animals and kept telling us she found reindeer under our bed and under the couch! They were brown reindeer too!
Here she is directing us to the reindeer. :)
Abby LOVES to watch her Daddy shave his head and facial hair every Sunday. It's their father-daughter moment but I had to get a picture because it reminds me of when I was little. I LOVED to watch my dad (and my Lao Yie) shave in the mornings. My dad would put a little shaving cream on my chin just for fun. :)
This picture was taken last week and it's a big deal because it's the first time she drew a picture that was coherent and not just scribble! This is a self portrait. Hooray for Abby!
