Abby is 4 months old!
She's really 4 months and 1 day. We had our wellness appointment this morning and here are her stats: weight - 15 lbs (75-90%), height - 24.5" (50-75%), head - 41 cm (50%). So she's gained almost 3 lbs and grown 2" since her 2 month appointment. :) She also had another set of shots this morning which she did NOT like. She let out a huge wail just like last time only this one was louder. This time I did not cry but mostly because it all happened so fast! My favorite part is getting to comfort Abby when it's all done. She clings on and looks up at you as she cries - just so sweet, I could have held her all day. :)

Uncle Wes
Abby got to meet Uncle Wes today at Texadelphia! :) We're glad he's back in Houston - just in time for football season. Abby was fascinated with all the lights and TVs in Texadelphia - so much to soak in for a small baby! She might as well get used to it now since I'm sure we'll return soon to watch UT play.

Mr. Bear, Recaro, FW weekend
It's been a while since my last post. We spent the weekend in FW but I'll get to that in a bit. Abby is now 16 weeks and 5 days old (or 1 week from turning 4 months). She has changed so much, even in the last 2 weeks. For one, she's eating 6 ounces instead of 5 now. The great thing is she's been sleeping through the night for over a week now. She will literally fall asleep between 10:30 and midnight and not get up until 6:30 AM or even 10 AM sometimes. It's amazing. Everyone told us the first 2 weeks were hard and things would get better by 3 months and it's so true. But due to all the sleeping, Abby has managed to rub little bald spots into the sides of her head. She's still got plenty of hair to go around - it's just super mullety (made that word up) now. :P We tried to do a comb over but the top hairs continue to grow straight up. Her eyes have lost the slight blue-ish hint that they had and it's settling into a light brown color (lighter than my brown eyes). Her hair color is still a mystery depending on the lighting. We sort of did a rough weighing of her and she's about 13.5 pounds now and has definitely grown taller. I love that she's still small enough to cuddle on your chest or burrow into your neck. Abby is getting really good at following objects with her eyes and has a substantially longer attention span than just a few weeks ago. I think the best part is that she actually laughs now rather than just cute smiles. The laughs are priceless. :) Daddy's really good at belly tickles and we get the best laughs from that.
For those of you who don't know, I have my beloved bear from my childhood that I hope Abby will love playing with too. Now that she has started to grab at things and interact with objects, we decided to introduce them to each other and they were fast friends. Mr. Bear really loves Abby. :)

Abby got a new toy - a Recaro convertible car seat! We tested it out at home:

As I mentioned before, we made our first road trip with Abby to Fort Worth to celebrate Vik's 30th birthday. Abby did amazingly well on the way up and only cried for a bit on the way home. Here's another pic of her napping in the new Recaro.

During the birthday party, we discovered that Abby likes beach balls! Ruby a yi was moving the ball around and Abby was doing a great job of following the ball with her eyes. :)

Not only was it great fun as usual to be with the ol' college crew, but Abby also got to meet Jake for the first time!
Ruby & Jake:

Mommies & Babies:

We joked about how Jake looks like a little Bryce and Abby looks more like Katie so we took a "pasty family photo" :)

Baker family:

Dean family:

I like this picture of Ruby and her niece. :)

And lastly, Abby is finally taking interest in the mobile that has been hovering over her Pack N' Play this whole time.

That's it for now!

Tickle Monster and sleeping through the night!!
The Tickle Monster paid a visit to the Baker household!! :) Abby wasn't scared one bit. One might even say she enjoyed visiting with the Tickle Monster! We hope he comes back to visit us soon!

Last night marks the first time Abby actually slept through the night. Her last feeding was at 9 PM, she fell asleep around midnight and didn't wake up until 7:30 AM!! Bryce and I both woke up assuming it was 3 or 4 AM - it was so strange! We are both well rested today. Not sure what to think about that, it's been so long! :P
We squeezed in some tummy time again today. :)

Hungry, Sleepy, Chatty, Sitting, little Bumbo Baby & Visiting new friends
Abby is now 15 weeks and 1 day old. :) I keep saying it but time really flies. These last 2 weeks while I've been at work, Abby got to spend quality time with the grandparents and Daddy. It's such a neat experience to see your parents turn into grandparents. And dare I say I notice a little bit of my mom in me too. :o
We've reached a few milestones lately. Our little baby is not only smiling but laughing and squealing like a little girl! She is the most talkative after each feeding and her voice is getting stronger and louder by the day. Recently she has decided to become a little drool monster. Here are a few quick pics.

This past Sunday Abby got to meet Amee masi and Ankur masa (Ams, please let me know if I spelled that correctly)!! She was excited to meet them and can't wait to see them again in 2 weeks!

On a random note, we just made a homemade pesto pizza with chicken, mushrooms, onions and tomato. The homemade pesto sauce was delicious and this is by far our favorite pizza!

Dress up & Nap time
This past week we played dress up with Abby. :) Matt is back in town for a while and we got Abby all dressed up for a family lunch. Abby was in the middle of a nap when I changed her clothes, can you tell? :P I had flash backs of playing CPK (Cabbage Patch Kids) with the Tsai twins and TJ. :) I got this dress from Janie & Jack. My friend KS introduced me to it and it is now my favorite clothing store for Abby.

And here is our little pink bunny rabbit! I actually got this hat around Easter time and it was too big for Abs at the time but it fits now. :)

Apparently I took a bunch of sleeping Abby pics this week. Here's a little montage.

On a side note, I survived my first week back at work. It was only a 4 day week but it felt like an eternity. By the third day I was really dragging and shear adrenaline got me through Friday.
We're excited because Abby gets to meet Aunt Amee and Uncle Ankur tomorrow! Will post pic soon. :)
